At Balcia Insurance SE, we believe feedback shouldn’t be something saved for annual performance reviews or moments of crisis. It should be a natural part of our everyday work - shared openly, respectfully, and with the genuine intent to help each other to grow.

That’s why we recently invited Balcians from across the Baltics and Poland to take part in hands-on feedback training sessions, focused on making this essential skill feel less intimidating and more actionable. Led by the fantastic Uldis Pavuls, these sessions gave our people the tools, mindset, and language to make feedback a more natural part of everyday conversations.

What we focused on:

  • How to give feedback that’s clear, constructive, and kind
  • How to receive feedback without defensiveness, with curiosity, not ego
  • How to turn feedback into a daily micro-habit, not a once-a-year formality

Through practical tools, real scenarios, and group reflection, our teams got the chance to rethink old habits, try out new approaches, and walk away with more confidence in how they share and receive perspectives.

And speaking of feedback, it only feels right to give some to Uldis Pavuls himself:

Your clarity, energy, and ability to turn even the tough moments into something fun made a real difference. The feedback? A whopping 9.2 out of 10 on overall training satisfaction. That speaks volumes. Thank you for helping us raise the bar.

At Balcia, we're not just training people to give better feedback. We’re actively shaping a feedback culture - one where everyone feels safe to speak up, confident to share, and encouraged to grow.

Because in the end, feedback isn’t just about fixing what’s wrong. It’s about building trust, strengthening connection, and helping each other become the best version of ourselves. One conversation at a time!
