August at Balcia was special – not just because it’s the last month of summer. Across all Balcia offices, including Poland, we introduced something that quickly became a favorite tradition for many – Wellness Month. For four weeks, our offices turned into spaces where health and well-being were the priority.

This wasn’t just a single event, but a series of activities that reminded us, step by step, how important it is to maintain balance – between work and recovery, between responsibilities and taking care of ourselves.

The taste of healthy choices

We started with what’s simplest and closest to everyone – food. During Poke Bowl Day, our office filled with colourful, nutritious bowls that instantly lifted everyone’s mood.

To keep this healthy momentum going throughout the month, fresh juices and fruits were available weekly – a daily reminder that energy starts with what’s on your plate (and in your glass!).

Taking care of your back

We couldn’t forget something that affects us all – long hours at the computer. That’s why we organized Happy Back Breaks, short, practical sessions with a physiotherapist. We learned simple exercises to strengthen our backs and improve posture – easy to incorporate into everyday routines.

Another popular activity was office back massages – a brief moment of relaxation, but immediately noticeable results.

Mindfulness and calm

August was also an opportunity to care for the mind. Our webinar “Mindfulness – expand your self-awareness and discover stress-reduction techniques” was highly appreciated. It practically showed that just a few minutes of mindful breathing can restore calm and mental clarity.

“This webinar was a reset. I learned how to truly pause in the rush and give my mind a moment of peace. I’ll definitely use these techniques every day.” – said one participant.

On the mat

We wrapped up the month with a symbolic touch – a yoga session that allowed us to pause, focus, and stretch after intense weeks. For many, it was their first yoga experience, but it quickly became clear that practicing together creates an atmosphere of calm and relaxation often missing from daily life.

Wellness Month isn’t just a perk – it’s part of our philosophy. We believe that people’s well-being is the foundation of company success. When we give ourselves space for healthy choices, recovery, and mindfulness, we return to work with new energy and fresh ideas.

Our conclusion

Wellness Month in Poland was a month of small steps that together created something big. Healthy meals, massages, moments of mindfulness, and movement – all these elements made August memorable not just as the end of summer, but as a time when we really took care of each other.
