What if choosing a career path didn’t start with a CV… but with a Tarot card?

That concept came to life at Karjera & Studijos 2025 in Vilnius, Lithuania, where Balcia Insurance SE aimed to stand out and spark meaningful conversations with young people asking one of life’s biggest questions: “What’s next for me?”

The setup was one of the most talked about at the event - a real fortune teller’s tent, complete with Tarot cards, welcoming students, teachers, and even other booth representatives eager to take a peek into their future.

Why a fortune teller?

The aim was to show that life is full of unexpected twists and turns - and being ready for them matters. Insurance, after all, is about protection, security, and being prepared for the unexpected.

What did we learn?

While the fortune teller’s cards revealed questions mostly about love (naturally), the Balcia team was busy asking its own questions to over 600 students. Here’s what they shared:

  • 54% said insurance would feel cooler if it teamed up with Red Bull athletes (spoiler: Balcia already does).

  • When asked what insurance would be like at a party:
      — 61% said it’s the responsible one making sure everyone gets home safe
      — 27% said it’s surprisingly fun and full of good advice

  • 41% still see insurance as a bit of a mystery,
but 35% already know it’s essential when things go wrong.

In short: students see insurance as both responsible and surprisingly fun, but there’s still room to make it less of a mystery.

The result?

Students left with something memorable: a unique experience, some laughter, and a better understanding of how insurance fits into their lives.

Balcia’s goal was simple - to connect, start conversations, and inspire the next generation to think differently about their future and about insurance.

Until next time - whether at Karjera & Studijos or beyond, we’ll be there with questions and plenty of surprises. The future may be uncertain, but starting the conversation is already a step toward shaping it.
