Get ready to:
- Underwrite Motor Mass risks (MTPL, KASKO) in line with Balcia’s underwriting guidelines and authority limits.
- Make confident decisions on complex, large, or non-standard risks, including pricing, terms, and special conditions.
- Support the development and improvement of Motor Mass products, contributing underwriting expertise to: product rules and methodologies; tariffs and rating logic; policy wordings and documentation.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance KPIs (loss ratio, combined ratio, frequency, severity, average premium).
- Identify trends and issues in the portfolio and initiate corrective actions together with Product and Actuarial teams.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis, keeping Balcia’s Motor Mass products competitive and relevant.
- Contribute to IT system development and testing, ensuring underwriting logic is correctly implemented and scalable.
- Prepare and support premium offers for tenders and larger mass-segment clients.
- Provide expert support, consultations, and training for colleagues and business partners.
- Contribute to claims handling methodologies from an underwriting and risk perspective.
- Support reinsurance-related requests, providing data and insights for facultative placements when needed.
- Participate in meetings and negotiations with partners and clients when required.

You’ll fit right in if you have:
- 3 – 5 years' experience in insurance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Motor Mass products (MTPL and KASKO).
- Higher education in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of: motor risk assessment and pricing; underwriting limits and authority frameworks; portfolio KPIs and technical results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Lithuanian + solid English (both written and spoken)
- Confident MS Office skills; experience with underwriting or rating systems is a plus.
