Why are we walking?

Because movement matters: not just for our physical well-being, but for how we connect with each other.
When we walk, we talk. We share. We recharge. Whether it's a morning stroll, a midday walk with teammates, or an evening spent exploring new surroundings, every step brings us closer — to ourselves and to one another.

It’s not just a fitness challenge — it’s a team ritual.

Across Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Poland, Balcians came together to take that first symbolic step of a journey that will span the entire month of April. But this isn’t just about walking. It’s about connection, community, and a cause that truly matters.

Walking with purpose: supporting Kārlis Bardelis

This year, our walk carries a deeper meaning.

We’re dedicating every step to Kārlis Bardelis, a true adventurer and inspiration. From rowing across oceans to cycling across continents, Kārlis has shown us what grit and perseverance really look like. But now, he’s facing his own journey — a personal challenge that requires strength, time, and support.

As he undergoes rehabilitation, every kilometre we walk throughout April will be converted into euros, directly supporting his recovery.

This is our way of walking alongside him — to give back some of the courage and energy he’s given the world.

Step by step, together

This initiative isn’t just a Balcia tradition, it’s a reflection of who we are! We believe in movement. We believe in each other. And we believe that every step we take together makes us stronger.
Together in every step.
