Get ready to:

Represent Balcia in litigation, administrative, and pre-trial proceedings in Latvia and supervise legal disputes in Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, France, and Italy.

Prepare procedural documents, statements, claims, objections, and supporting materials for dispute resolution.

Draft and review a wide range of contracts (e.g. lease, sale-purchase, advertising, cooperation, loan, donation, etc.) and ensure their compliance with relevant legal frameworks.

Maintain and update the Legal Department’s litigation register.

Provide legal opinions and risk assessments related to dispute matters, contract obligations, and regulatory questions.

Monitor document administration processes and ensure legal accuracy in prepared copies, extracts, and internal records.

Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters within your scope and contribute to business decision-making with clear, practical legal insight.

To fit here, you’ll need:

Higher legal education and Proven experience in litigation and dispute resolution (at least 5 years previous experience).

Strong knowledge of Latvian law and court practice.

Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
-
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-
Excellent command of Latvian and English.
-
Confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
-
Previous experience in the insurance sector will be considered as an advantage.
