Get ready to:

• manage full accounting for the Polish branch in accordance with applicable regulations,
• post and process financial documents, including invoices, bank statements, and other accounting records,
• prepare tax returns and filings, including VAT, CIT, and PIT,
• prepare financial statements and internal management reports,
• cooperate with auditors, banks, and other internal departments,
• reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting data,
• support accounting processes for the German branch in line with applicable German accounting and tax regulations,
• prepare and maintain financial records while ensuring accuracy and compliance,
• manage accounts payable and receivable to support smooth financial operations,
• communicate with German-speaking clients, brokers, and business partners regarding finance-related matters,
• assist with monthly closing processes and financial reporting,
• perform account reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies.

To fit here you'll need:

• at least 2 years of experience in an Accountant role; experience in the financial services or insurance sector will be an advantage,
• practical knowledge of Polish tax regulations and the Accounting Act,
• basic to intermediate knowledge of German accounting and tax regulations, with readiness to work with German compliance requirements,
• experience working with financial and accounting systems,
• very good knowledge of MS Excel,
• very good command of Polish (C1 level),
• good command of English (B2 level),
• good command of German (B2 level),
• independence, accuracy, and strong organizational skills,
• good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork,
• experience with Microsoft Dynamics Axapta will be considered an asset.
